Your wedding photographer is an integral part of your day, and choosing one can be overwhelming.
You’re not just looking for someone whose work you love, you’re also looking for someone you actually like as a person. Someone who makes you feel comfortable, understood, and at ease.
But beyond that, experience and reliability matter. You want to know that your photographer can handle anything the day throws at them, communicate clearly, and deliver beautiful, meaningful images.
I hope this section helps you get a better sense of how I work, what to expect,
and whether I might be the right fit for you.
HOW DO WE DO THIS?
Send me a message with your wedding date, the city it’s happening in, and any other fun details you’re excited to share. If I’m available, I’ll send over a bit of info and we’ll schedule a no-pressure video chat to talk all
things wedding and photography.
If it feels like a good fit I’ll send you a contract and ask for a 50% retainer to lock things in.
From there, I’ve got you.
Need help building a timeline that makes sense for gorgeous photos and a
(relatively) stress-free day? I’m on it.
Not sure if golden hour portraits will work with your reception plans?
I’ll help figure it out.
Want an opinion on what colour bridesmaids dresses are best?
I've got that opinion!
About six weeks before the big day, we’ll reconnect to fine-tune all the details
Your remaining balance is due two weeks before your wedding.
WHAT'S YOUR STYLE WHEN PHOTOGRAPHING A WEDDING?
My main goal is to provide you with authentic and interesting wedding photos—images that are a unique, yet true, representation of who you are and the day you’ve planned.
What does that even mean???
It means: You do you, have the day you want, and I’ll be there taking the photos that are actually worth taking—the ones that are beautiful, intriguing, weird, humorous, emotional, and real.
My images are aesthetically contemporary and, if I have my way, the least cheesy wedding photos you could possibly get. I want you to have really cool images of your day—the kind you didn’t expect, and maybe wouldn’t have thought to plan for. It’s a bit of a photographic adventure...an experiment in what can be captured.
If you hate posing for photos, no problem,! We’ll lean into a candid, photojournalistic vibe.
If you’re into portraits and put some trust in me, we’ll make something unique together.
If you’re having a quiet, candle-lit ceremony, your photos—and my approach to taking them—will reflect that calm.
If you’re having a wild dance floor, amazing! I’ll be in there with your guests,
catching them in all their sweaty, joyful glory.
At the end of the day, I hope it feels like you had a friend—or at least a cousin you really like—photographing your wedding. Together, we’ll create a series of images that I hope will have you laughing, crying,
and reminiscing all at once.
HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL WE GET?
You can expect to receive 40-60 images per hour of photography coverage.
Or more if we have a second photographer.
WILL YOU BE THE ONE PHOTOGRAPHING OUR WEDDING?
Yes it’s just me over here!
No associates, no outsourcing, no wedding factory vibes.
I will be your main photographer and the one you deal with
from the initial correspondence to the very end.
DO WE NEED A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?
Sometimes yes, sometimes no—here what I think:
For elopements and intimate weddings, it’s usually not necessary.
But for larger weddings or anything with multiple moving parts, having a second photographer can be a huge benefit.
Consider adding one if:
-
You and your partner are getting ready in different locations
-
You have a formal wedding party or lots of guests
-
You have multiple different locations for your day
-
You want those magazine worthy detail shots of décor, rings, shoes, etc.
-
You’re dreaming of a guest portrait station
-
You’ve got the budget and want full coverage from every angle
Bonus: My second shooters are amazing wedding professionals.
They help tell a fuller story of your day, and they’re also a built-in backup plan—like an insurance policy
(Although phew, I’ve never had to use them as a stand-in, the peace of mind is reassuring)
WHEN WILL WE GET OUR PHOTOS, AND HOW?
You’ll get a handful of sneak peeks within one week.
Your full gallery, including your resolution files and slideshow, will be delivered within 4–8 weeks of your wedding date.
Everything is delivered in an easy-to-use online gallery—download your images in high resolution,
share the link with guests, and order prints directly if you’d like.
Your gallery stays online for two full years.
DO YOU OFFER PRINTS AND ALBUMS?
Yes! These can be ordered separately through your online gallery.
You’ll have access to a curated selection of high-quality, professional print products—including archival prints, framed pieces, albums, thank-you cards, and more. Everything is printed through a trusted professional lab in Canada, so your photos will look amazing and stand the test of time.
You can design your own album using the easy built-in gallery software or I can design one for you.
I really encourage you to print your wedding photo! They will be cherished.
CAN WE DO OUR OWN PRINTING?
Yes, 100%!
You’ll receive all your final images in high resolution with full printing rights, so you’re free to print wherever you’d like. That said, I recommend using a professional photo lab for the best quality.
WILL YOU EDIT AND RETOUCH OUR PHOTOS?
Yes, and yes.
All delivered images are meticulously edited by me—this includes selecting the best shots, adjusting colour, cropping, and retouching where needed (as in, don't worry about that pimple).
I strive for authenticity in my editing, so I won’t alter your appearance or airbrush your face into plastic, but I will clean up distractions so the focus stays on what matters.
If you want more specific retouching after delivery, just ask—happy to chat!
ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL COSTS WE SHOULD THINK ABOUT?
There are a few things that may come into play.
Travel Fees
For BC weddings, anything outside of Revelstoke has a travel fee.
In Ontario, travel within the GTA, Hamilton, and Niagara is included.
Permits
If we’re shooting at a location that requires a photography permit or fee,
it’s your responsibility to arrange and cover that. I’m happy to help you figure it out!
Meals
If I’m working through your meal service, I do need to be fed. For formal dinners, I ask to be seated in the
same room as the action, so I don’t miss speeches, tears, or spontaneous dance moves.
Same goes for a second photographer if you’ve added one.
Overtime
If things run late and you want me to stay longer than originally booked, I’ll invoice you for
extra time at an hourly rate after the wedding.
